What this site is

RealityCheck Stay is an independent information service. We do not own, operate, inspect or represent any property listed. We take no bookings and handle no payments — booking happens entirely on the booking site you are sent to, under their terms.

About the hygiene verdicts

Verdicts are produced automatically from a small sample of recent public Google reviews. They summarise what other travellers have reported. They are not inspections, not statements of fact about a property’s current condition, and not a guarantee of any kind.

A clear verdict means nobody in that sample recently complained. It does not mean a property is clean. Automated analysis can also misread a review. Always use your own judgement, and read the quoted reviews we show you.

If you are a property and believe a verdict is wrong

Contact us and we will recheck promptly. Where a verdict reflects a review that has been removed or corrected at source, or where our analysis has misread it, we will update or remove it. We would rather be accurate than right.

Privacy badges

“Likely private room” and “likely private bathroom” are inferred from Google’s property type, not confirmed by the property. Always verify on the booking page before paying.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links earn us a commission if you book. This costs you nothing extra and has no influence on verdicts or ordering.

Liability

The site is provided as is, without warranty. We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on it, from a booking made through it, or from your stay at any property. Your contract for any stay is with the booking site and the property.

These terms may change as the service develops. The date below always reflects the current version.
